Glad I could help,...I had first heard about Google video in the Frankenstein (1910) thread. I'm sure Inferno looks much better on DVD than online, but it's nice to get a "preview" before one spends...

I actually got the DVD in from Netflix. Jess and I are going to watch it during dinner. Score sounds eh....not so good. Pic is good considering its from 1911 VQ wise. Any suggestions for music to play...

I got this DVD for Christmas last year. I would agree that the Tangerine soundtrack is awful...but as Tim says...just turn the volume down, which is what I do with most silents anyway.

I gotta say the music is a real miss-match here, but I also gotta say the picture quality was a bit crummy, I know it's older than god, but I've seen quite a few films of equal or earlier vintage look...

I thought this was a wonderful little film. Some of the images are iconic, of course, and the film hasn't exactly ben drowning in issues from the major purveyors of silent features. The score...

I believe it's this version of Dante's Inferno that turns up at the climax of the all-Black-cast movie GO DOWN DEATH, starring Spencer Williams. It turns up occasionally on TCM and is also out on DVD.
